Sideplates--6061 aluminum black anodized or black delrin.
Rings--7075 aluminum.
Spool-- 7075 aluminum with bronze or aluminum hub.
Reel foot--316 stainless steel or 7075 aluminum.
All screws--300 series stainless steel.
Handle--type 304 stainless steel.
Handle knob--White ivorette or black buffalo horn.
For lighter weight select aluminum reelfoot and spool hub.

Hello Stefan, its Richard Kell ie handmade reels. I'm commenting because you have a Schaublin! Wow you are very lucky and so new. Unfortunately being the slob I am I work with an 8" pile of swarf at the back of my Dads 1953 Myford ML7. Otherwise its my 1945 flat belt drive Ward 1A capstan lathe...or my treadle lathe.
